WHICH SHIPPING OPTION SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?

We offer both UPS and USPS with many of their services as options you can decide from. There are pros and cons to each option - this is where you will find most of the answers to your questions!

"ESITMATED" AND "GUARANTEED"

First, it is important to know the difference between "estimated" and "guaranteed". Estimated simply means that it is likely going to take around the time it is estimated for. However, it can absolutely take a longer or shorter amount of time than initially estimated. There is nothing more tied to this.

Guaranteed means that if the package is delivered past their guaranteed timeframe, it will qualify for a full refund. If you do find yourself in this scenario, just reach out to us. We will request the refund and send the full refund to you ourselves.

Furthermore, there are times where your package does not qualify for a refund despite it arriving past the guaranteed timeframe. Here are those scenarios:

UPS

- Package was delayed due to weather (it has to say this somewhere in the tracking updates).

- Package was delivered to an Access Point instead of an residential address.

USPS

- Package was held for pickup rather than delivered to a residential address.

If any refund requests are denied, we unfortunately cannot send a refund for the shipping cost.

UPS AND USPS PROS AND CONS

It is also important to keep in mind the pros and cons of UPS and USPS when placing your order. Before you read, we always highly recommend UPS whenever you can use them. They are far more reliable in most cases. However, USPS is surprisingly consistent in either a good or bad way. If they are consistently good for you, then save your money and use that free shipping!

UPS PROS

- Much more consistent/reliable.

- All services are "guaranteed".

- You can use their "My Choice" capabilities which allows you to change shipping after it's been shipped.

UPS CONS

- Does not deliver on the weekends.

- Slightly more expensive.

- Does not offer refunds if delay was due to weather.

- Does not deliver to PO Box addresses.

USPS PROS

- Delivers on Saturdays.

- Slightly cheaper.

- They're a little more loose on refund requests.

- Delivers to PO Box addresses.

USPS CONS

- Priority Mail Express is the only service "guaranteed".

- Not nearly as reliable.

- Pretty difficult to work with when things go south.

- Consistently makes mistakes which causes delays.

This being said, regardless of your situation, UPS is always recommended.

FAQ FOR ISSUES WITH USPS

This is a list of Q&A's regarding common scenarios with USPS.

Q: Why hasn't my package been scanned in so long?

A: If it is still within the estimated or guaranteed timeframe that your package should be delivered, it is usually best to just wait until it's past that time. When it is not scanned, it is either still in motion and just hasn't been scanned yet or it is lost/delayed. There is no way of knowing whether it's lost or delayed until it's past their delivery timeframe. This is when you should reach out to us. After 7 days of the mailing date, we can submit a Missing Package claim. With this claim, we can either have them send it to you when found or back to us so we can send a new package out to you.

Q: Do you have more information about my package than the tracking information and can you talk to customer service?

A: Sadly, the answer to both is no. All of the information regarding your package that we have is the tracking information just like you. Outside of this, we only have 2 capabilities. The first one is filing a Missing Package claim 7 days after the mailing date as mentioned earlier. Second one is filing a Package Inquiry claim 5 days after the mailing date. This doesn't really do much in our experience, we usually don't bother filing this claim since it has never helped. However, we always can when requested.

Q: What happens when my package is lost or arrives damaged?

A: Thankfully, all of our packages are insured. Naturally, they are insured through USPS and UPS for up to $100. For any orders above that price, we purchase insurance through a third-party company. If we file a Missing Package claim and they officially say that it's lost or the package arrives with broken product, we will file the insurance claim. Once we get confirmation from our claim, we will either send a full refund or a replacement order to you.

Q: What happens when tracking says "delivered" but it's not actually delivered?

A: This is the most difficult scenario to deal with unfortunately. This is strictly caused by your local mailman or Post Office employees, so we usually start this process there. We will ask that you contact your local USPS regarding this situation. When you do, all you need is your tracking number. You will need to ask them for your package's coordinates. When they deliver any package and mark it "delivered", it shoots the exact location coordinates to their system. This is the first step because it will give us our answer right off the bat. At this point, it could go 3 different ways. First is the best case scenario which is they found it in their truck or bins and you get to walk out the door with it. Second, the coordinates show that it was delivered elsewhere. Or third, the coordinates show that it was delivered in the correct area.

If the coordinates show that it was delivered elsewhere, we will be able to file an insurance claim and either resend a package or refund you. If the coordinates show that it was delivered at your mailbox, we will have to assume that it was stolen. If your package was insured by our third-party insurance, then we can just file a claim and reimburse you in whichever way. However, if your order was below $100, it will be insured by USPS and we will need to file a claim with them. They are a little more difficult when it comes to stolen packages, but we will still reimburse you in some way. These scenarios are worked on a case-by-case basis as they can be a little tricky.
